FREEMG

Surface electromyography device with wireless probes for the dynamic analysis of muscle activity.

FREEEMG is a 4G technology device for surface  electromyography (EMG) analysis. Signal accuracy, absence of wires, lightness and reduced size of the probes are features which enables users to perform analyses of any type of movement, for each body part, without altering the natural movement of the analyzed subject.

Excellent performance

Thanks to our wireless miniaturized probes even the weakest signals will be detected and accurately captured. The system communicates with a PC through the supplied USB receivers and can manage up to 20 probes simultaneously.
Each probe is equipped with internal memory to ensure uninterrupted recording in case of temporary connection loss and to allow for acquisitions in wide spaces and open fields.

Up to
20
probes
simultaneously
Battery life: more than
6
hours
of continuous acquisition
Ultralight probes
13
grams
battery included

Practical and effective

For signal acquisition, the probes are directly attached to the pre-gelled electrodes, with no need for additional fastening: subject preparation has never been so quick.
The software analyzes the collected information and generates graphical results allowing for immediate comparison to normal classes.
A large variety of predefined analysis protocols allow for assessment of muscle activity during specific exercises.

CLINICAL FUNCTONAL PROTOCOLS

The evaluation of muscle activity is fundamental to understand the patient’s state of health and to intervene with highly personalized therapeutic pathways.

Functional protocols allow you to evaluate in a few minutes walk, posture, mobility of the lumbar and cervical segment and dental occlusion, providing an indispensable tool for the definition of the most appropriate therapy and in the pre-post treatment analysis.

Surface electromyography solution for the objective evaluation of muscle activity.
The use of our FREEEMG 1000 EMG system together with the inertial sensor G-SENSOR allows an immediate visualization of the behavior of the reference muscle related to the movement performed.

How does the patient walk?
When and how much do you activate your muscles while walking?

With the WALK protocol it is possible to verify if the patient has a good coordination and symmetry of the movement or if, due to neurological or orthopedic disorders, the walk is compromised and altered in some of its phases.

Do the patient’s muscles work symmetrically in maintaining a certain posture?

With the STATIC POSTURE protocol it is possible to evaluate if the muscles of the right and left side of the trunk are activated symmetrically during the prolonged maintenance of a static posture. Deformity of the spine can start arising through a different activation of the paravertebral muscles.

Does your patient show a predisposition to low back pain?

With the FLEX-RELAX protocol it is possible to evaluate if the lumbar muscles relax in maintaining the flexed position of the trunk. The absence of the relaxation phenomenon indicates that the muscles are contracted when they should not be, potentiallys leading over time to the onset of low back pain.

Does your patient manage to move their arm smoothly?
Does your patient feel pain in the shoulder?

With the SHOULDER MOBILITY protocol it is possible to evaluate the patient’s ability to perform flexion, abduction or arm rotation movements in a fluid manner to highlight the presence of musculoskeletal disorders in the shoulder joint.

Does your patient show neck stiffness?

With the CERVICAL SPINE MOBILITY protocol it is possible to evaluate the subject’s predisposition to cervical pain to prevent its onset or chronicization. The possible presence of contractures at the level of the cervical muscles often results in an objective limitation of the movement.

Do your patient’s postural problems depend on incorrect dental occlusion?

With the DENTAL OCCLUSION protocol, neuromuscular balance can be assessed during occlusion. The protocol provides indexes that allow you to establish if the muscles are in balance and if therefore the patient has a correct occlusal barycenter.

More than 500 centers worldwide use our EMG device for the evaluation of:

  • Orthopedic and neurological disorders
  • Pharmacological treatments
  • Evolution of motor deficits
  • Use of orthotics
  • Rehabilitation follow-up
  • Athletic task optimization
